$18.50 – $25.00 per hour Actual Salary is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.
DUTIES:
1. Maintain data management systems including but not limited to caseloads, IEP services. 2. Utilization of database systems for purchasing requisitions, conferences, personnel hiring, leave requests, attendance, and payroll purposes. 3. Maintain accurate referral and billing requirements for component districts. 4. Maintain mileage reimbursement data and reports. 5. Utilization of district-wide system for Individual Education Program (IEP), generating listings and reports as requested. 6. Prepare and proofread written reports and various documents using a variety of software systems. 7. General clerical duties including phone and email for responsibilities associated to this position. 8. Other duties assigned by the administrator of the program.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Civil Service eligibility for
Clerk I :
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus either: (A) Four (4) years of paid full-time or its part-time or volunteer equivalent office clerical or secretarial experience; OR, (B) An associate degree in Secretarial Science, Office Technology, or a closely related field, plus two (2) years of experience as described in (A) above; OR, (C) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
NOTES:
• Successful completion of one (1) year of college coursework (or 30 semester credit hours) from a New York State registered or regionally accredited college or university may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. • Experience as a Teller, Cashier or Salesclerk shall not be considered office clerical experience. 2. Strong interpersonal skills greeting visitors and callers, and in interactions with students and staff members. 2. Work independently to anticipate and respond to questions, district and administrative needs. 3. Exhibit effective problem-solving skills in daily interactions with all internal and external staff and families. 4. Exceptional phone, interpersonal and communication skills. 5. High quality management and organizational skills with attention to detail. 6. Ability to work independently ensuring required timelines are met. 7. Ability to work with multiple tasks simultaneously and to meet deadlines as part of an office team, while remaining flexible to changing priorities. 8. Strong proficiency with the following software, Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel, Frontline Education applications, WinCap Web, WinCap Financial, Company Mileage, M1B Student Request System (SRS) and other software as determined by the department administrator. 9. Experience working in a school setting preferred. 10. Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
