Position Summary
With the Director, manage business affairs of the Office of the Secretary, which functions as the administrative arm of the Secretary of the University; maintains custody of the seal, charter, and bylaws of the University; and is responsible for ensuring accurate records of the proceedings of the Board of Trustees and the University Senate. Ensure smooth functioning of all Board of Trustees operations. Manage the logistical planning and efficient operation of all meetings of the Board of Trustees and Committees of the Board of Trustees. Plan the efficient operation of all meetings of the University Senate. Support the operations of the Office of the Secretary by establishing priorities and overseeing work flow and all office procedures. Provide principal management support for University departmental processes of the Office of the Secretary.
Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelor’s Degree

Required Experience:

3+ years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience planning and implementing various activities and special events, working with senior leadership and external stakeholders, and demonstrated experience in managing event and/or support staff.

Preferred Experience:

3+ years relevant experience in an academic or corporate environment

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Proven ability to handle multiple priorities under deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving skills. Ability to develop, implement, and interpret policies and procedures and effectively communicate sensitive information verbally and in writing to a diverse population. Good judgment, tact, diplomacy, discretion, and ability to maintain confidences are essential. Demonstrated ability to use work productivity software and contact/information management systems. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Ability to be creative and flexible in response to complex work situations.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Knowledge of Acrobat Pro, Diligent, Google suite, or substantively similar technologies.
Additional Information
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $73,800.00 to USD $90,200.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
