What You’ll Do Avenues is seeking an Early Learning Center Operations Assistant to join us on the New York campus. The Operations Assistant plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day functioning of our Early Learning Center. This position ensures smooth operations by coordinating logistics, managing key division systems, and providing general administrative support to the leadership team and staff. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, early childhood-centered environment. As the Operations Assistant you will: Executional excellence on key division systems including: Student arrival and dismissal Student attendance Teacher coverages Facilities Management and Work Orders Inventory of supplies, ordering and budget tracking Execute and iterate on ELC operations events, including: Division and grade-wide events Field Trips Calendar & faculty meetings Executional excellence on key transportation systems by partnering with the transportation coordinator on the following: Ensuring all student data is kept up to date and accurate within the system to determine student transportation eligibility Coordinate public and private transportation for all eligible students Clearly communicate all expectations, systems, and protocols with families through the course of the year Execute day-to-day operations of the transportation office, including developing and maintaining daily bus lists, ensuring the successful departure and arrival of all campus buses, and communicating status updates to faculty and families around any busing delays or updates Support the campus leadership teams to address and monitor any ongoing behavioral issues or student concerns relating to busing Ensures the division office is a welcoming place. Functions as the point of contact for all inquiries into the office Ensures faculty & students are equipped with what they need to be successful Greets visitors, and ensures the division reception area aligns with Avenue’s values of welcome, safety and respect. All other duties as requested. Additional information If hired for this position, the annual salary range is between $55,000 – $65,000. The salary may vary depending on your professional experience and skills. What You’ll Bring 2+ years of relevant experience and proven track record in executing high-quality program operations, processes and systems. Experience in schools and/or with children is required. Sense of deep personal responsibility for the organization’s success; rolls up sleeves to get the job done and gets the right work done even amidst ambiguity Strong written and verbal communication Very organized and a strong project manager Ability to lead effectively through relationships, persuasion, and influence Tech-savvy, with experience implementing technology tools and systems to improve and simplify workflows and processes for the Avenues community.
