CLIENT OVERVIEW
Our client, a mission-driven organization dedicated to community outreach and public service programs, is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Temp Administrative Assistant to support their growing team. The Temp Administrative Assistant will be a key player in ensuring smooth daily operations and helping advance the organization’s impactful initiatives. This is an open-ended temporary role, with the possibility of becoming temp-to-hire depending on performance and organizational needs. POSITION OVERVIEW
The Administrative Assistant will provide essential administrative support, help with scheduling and logistics, and assist in cross-departmental operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player with strong organizational skills and a passion for nonprofit work. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE TEMP ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Provide day-to-day administrative support to staff and leadership.
Assist in planning and executing community programs and events.
Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate logistics.
Draft reports, internal communications, and outreach materials.
Maintain both paper and digital filing systems.
Respond to public inquiries and assist with external communications.
Compile data for grant proposals and reporting purposes.
Order and track office and event supplies.
Support donor outreach, communications, and fundraising initiatives.
Collaborate with colleagues to maintain smooth operational flow.
Take on special projects and additional duties as needed.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS FOR THE TEMP ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
2+ years of experience in an administrative, nonprofit, or office support role.
Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Ability to manage tasks independently and work collaboratively with a team.
Attention to detail with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS FOR THE TEMP ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Experience working in a mission-driven or nonprofit organization.
Familiarity with grant tracking, donor databases, or community outreach programs.
Comfort supporting multiple departments simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree is required.
