Office Assistant 2 Thruway Authority East Syracuse, NY The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description Serve as the P-Card clerk (credit card) for 17 field technicians, Div Garage Parts Coordinator, Equipment Management supervisors, Inventory Management staff, as well as ITSM supervision who are card holders. Work with Injury Reporting for all job-related injuries to provide documentation and follow up as it relates to Workers Comp. Report non-work-related illnesses to Syracuse HQ while ensuring employees have the correct documentation supporting extended leave. Gather /process information regarding equipment damage and Cost of Repairs to be submitted to HQ. Cross train with Office OA1 on KRONOS Timekeeper and LAM. Maintain and file records, including confidential paperwork Assist supervision with special projects as needed Answer phones, greet/sign in visitors to the building. One year of clerical experience. This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS). For the duration of the
NY HELPS
Program, this title may be filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply. At a future date, it is expected employees hired under
NY HELPS
will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination. Employees will then be afforded with all of the same rights and privileges of competitive class employees of New York State. While serving permanently in an
NY HELPS

ADDITIONAL PAY INFORMATION
The salary range for this position includes all applicable annual components of pay which are: Base Pay Range from Hiring Rate $39,737 up to Job Rate $56,710.
