Health and Nutrition Manager 2.7 2.7 out of 5 stars 117 East Steuben Street, Bath, NY 14810 Health and Nutrition Manager – Head Start ($25-$31/hour): Pro Action’s Birth-to-5 Head Start Program is looking for a full-time Health and Nutrition Manager to provide oversight of the Health and Nutrition Functional areas to ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, NYS OCFS Day Care Regulations, UPK Regulations, CACFP requirements and all other applicable program regulations. Essential functions of the manager are but not limited to: overseeing the collection, review, and interpretation of health documentation for program participants, ensuring enrolled children receive necessary health screenings, monitoring and ensuring meal service is available at all Head Start locations and are in compliance with applicable standards and regulations, reviewing and monitoring for compliance with program regulations, approve monthly menus, provide referrals for the Nutrition Consultant, reviewing health and other applicable records for children enrolled, and monitor Health and Safety inspections. The manager is required to maintain working knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards, local written plans and policies and Pro Action policies and procedures. Knowledge of NYS Office of Children and Family Services Day Care Regulations must also be maintained. A bachelor’s degree in nutrition, human services, or related field with experience is required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry and be highly organized. This position requires successful comprehensive background checks. The ideal candidate must have a valid driver’s license, meeting agency standards per position and consistent, reliable transportation that will allow regular travel in and around the service area.
