Division of Family Health Job Description:

Responsibilities The Health Program Administrator I will provide guidance to, and oversight of consultants and contractors funded through the Bureau of Health Equity and Community Engagement. The incumbent will be responsible for program coordination and contract management with consultants and/or organizations. The Bureau of Health Equity and Community Engagement’s mission is to engage, build trust, and create partnerships with community-based organizations that are credible messengers and who are responsive to the needs of their community. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of experience in the administration of personnel, fiscal, or other related operational activity; OR an Associate’s degree in a related field and five years of such experience; OR seven years of such experience. At least one year of experience must have included supervision of staff and/or program management. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of general experience. Preferred Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of experience in program coordination in a public health, health or human services related program. Program/project management experience (management and/or oversight of planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting activities). Experience developing content for varied audiences. Experience managing contracts (review of budgets, and work plans, and approval and tracking of expenditures). Experience providing technical assistance to community-based organizations. Conditions of Employment Temporary, grant funded position expected to last through May 2026. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Travel, 25% of the time, may be required. The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire.
