Administrative Assistant II The Administrative Assistant II role serves three primary functions at the

Hub:

Patient Billing :

This position is the initial point of contact for patients to make an appointment, enroll in any of our services, and bill for each patient care service. The position gains expertise in patient engagement and billing, ensuring each service is completely accurate to ensure that claims are paid. In the past year, over 6,000 patients were cared for and over 10,000 vaccines were given and billed. 2.

Student Engagement and Support :

This position is the first point of contact for students coming to engage with the Hub. Over the past academic year, 469 students served a total of 7,903 hours at the Hub. Responsibilities for this position include initial email outreach and coordination with students, managing applications and scheduling students in the volunteer management software, welcoming and ensuring students are signed into the volunteer system, completion of their assignments, and support for patient engagement. 3.

Administrative and Outreach Support :

The Administrative Assistant II is the first staff member patients see and is central to providing patient services as well as patients’ perception of care. This position fills multiple administrative duties such as answering phones, preparing travel patients records, monitoring multiple email boxes, ordering supplies, and answering patient questions. This position also supports off-site clinics both on the Oakland campus (mass vaccinations and campus outreach) as well as travel to support the regional campuses. A High School Diploma or GED is required for this position and a Bachelor’s degree is Preferred.
