Secretary to the House Principal

REPORTS TO AND IS EVALUATED BY

House Principal.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Full-time bargaining unit position

  • 12-month work year; FLSA Non-Exempt.
ANTICIPATED START DATE

July 30,2025

HOURS:

6:30 AM to 3:00 PM

In accordance with PESPA Collective Bargaining Agreement

PRINCIPAL FUNCTION

To ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the school in supporting the House Principal in delivering an effective educational program for all students in a safe, cooperative environment which promotes learning and positive self-discipline.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED).
Associate’s degree in Business or a related field preferred.
Three (3) years secretarial experience, preferably in a public-school setting, or five (5

  • years’ experience in a position of comparable responsibility.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUISITE SKILLS

Strong organizational, secretarial, communication & interpersonal skills; must have strong Microsoft office and computer skills; maintenance of professional confidentiality a must; prior experience in an educational setting preferred. High school diploma required/Associates degree in Business or related field preferred.

MEDIUM WORK

The incumbent should be able to exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs of force constantly to move objects.

HEAVY WORK

The incumbent should be able to exert up to 75 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects.

VERY HEAVY WORK

The incumbent should be able to exert in excess of 100 lbs of force occasionally, and in excess of 50 lbs of force frequently, and in excess of 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects.
