THE
POSITION

If so, the Department of Banking and Securities (DoBS) is eager to have you join our team as an Administrative Assistant 1. This position allows you to utilize your administrative background to provide office support as well as coordinate with outreach staff to schedule events and offer informative presentations. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Administrative Assistant, you will be developing visual graphics and reports to make outreach data accessible and understandable as well as assisting with giving presentations to targeted audiences including professionals, youth, military, and older adults. Work involves serving as point of contact for programs by fulfilling requests for presentations, corresponding with partners, and providing materials. You will have the opportunity to assist with coordinating large-scale live events including venue logistics, speaker scheduling, attendee registration, and PowerPoint set-up.
Additional responsibilities include:
Providing recommendations for future outreach events based on existing activity
Identifying areas in the Commonwealth that are undeserved or underrepresented on the outreach map
Coordinating with outreach staff on developments that impact agency programs Researching target audiences such as veteran organizations, women’s groups, and working adults to identify opportunities for collaboration
Responding to inquiries from the public, various partners, and other agencies

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
Telework:
You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
You must possess and maintain a REAL ID or passport for this position. Proof of possession will be needed at the time of a conditional offer of employment.
