Attendance Clerk 3.1 3.1 out of 5 stars Glenolden, PA 19036 Southeast Delco Schoool District Attendance Clerk Kindergarten Center This is a full-time, 10-month position. Position dates are August 27th to June 20th.

Kindergarten Center Principal Job Summary:

The Attendance Clerk provides clerical support to the Principal with primary responsibilities involving maintenance of student records and their attendance.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the duties, responsibilities, knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Duties & Responsibilities:

Check E-mail for teachers who have not done attendance and input that information in computer. Write late slips and update information in computer. Run daily absence list and E-mail teachers to check for errors. Compile students absent notes and record in computer. Run a list for perfect attendance at the end of the month. Write certificates and count out pencils. Run a list of absences and tardiness for report cards. Keep record of student’s unexcused absences and write attendance letters, 1st and 2nd notices. Call parents to check on student’s who are missing school and talk to them about their child’s Attendance. Gather information for the Truancy Officer. Cover the office during Secretary’s lunch or absence. Make weekly attendance report, monthly school board report, and yearly state report. Keep records of children who enter or withdrawal and help compile records to send to new school. All other duties as assigned to support principal, assistant principal in achievement of school goals. Collaborate with guidance and truancy officers to develop student absentee plans.

Education & Experience:

Understanding of school policies and regulations desired. Previous administrative, clerical, or secretarial experience required. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Computer Knowledge (MS Office; Word, Excel) required. Keyboarding and typing skills required. Organized with time management skills required.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to reach above and below the waist Ability to use fingers to pick, feel and grasp objects Ability to use both hands for repetitive motion Some bending, stooping and twisting of the body required Ability to lift and/or carry supplies and/or papers weighing no more than 10 lbs. Ability to mostly sit with some standing or walking/moving throughout the work environment

Level of Compensation:

This position’s salary is determined by the collective bargaining plan for Support Staff. The starting salary for this role is $20.76/hour. After the completion of the 90-day probationary period, this position is eligible for a raise to bring the salary to $21.26/hour. This is a full-time, 10-month position.
