Definition of Class This job is performed under the supervision of the Juvenile Probation Office Manager. An employee in this class is responsible for performing a variety of duties and carries great responsibility in assuring that Court Orders and other documents are reviewed and completed in the appropriate amount of time. Duties & Responsibilities Proofread and review all Court Orders for accuracy prior to obtaining the Judge’s signature, as well as corresponding data that is entered into JCMS and CPCMS. This person must be able to check Court Orders for any and all errors. This would include, but is not limited to, the docket numbers, dates, names, dispositions, and spellings. Proofread and review all Court Summaries, Memos and Documents prior to the juvenile’s Court Hearings. Assist the Clerical staff with overflow. Typing and entering data into JCMS and CPCMS with efficiency and accuracy Assist the Juvenile Probation Office Manager in competing tasks such as expungements, stats, data entry and other office needs when required. Become diverse in all administrative duties to assist in the Courtroom and/or Intake position as needed. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities This person must have excellent computer proficiency. A strong knowledge of Word and Excel. This employee must also be able to work independently, be detail oriented, with minimal supervision. This person must have well developed organizational skills. This person must have knowledge of proper grammar, punctuation and spelling. This person must have the ability to keep track of all Court Order requirements. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GED Minimum of 2 years of Clerical Experience Thorough working knowledge of the Juvenile Court System Conditions Of Employment
