Position Summary:
Wickersham Construction is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Administrator to support construction project execution from pre-construction through closeout. This role plays a vital part in maintaining project documentation, facilitating communication among project stakeholders, and ensuring timely completion of administrative project functions. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and thrives in a fast-paced construction environment. Key Responsibilities of a
Project Administrator:
Coordinate with the Superintendent to ensure projects are executed according to design specifications, budgets, and schedules. Prepare scopes of work and provide direct support to ensure timely project execution. Assist in maintaining the accuracy and organization of contract documents, including drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals. Monitor and manage the timely processing of shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs. Create and maintain logs for tracking project documentation such as shop drawings, contract documents, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and material deliveries. Prepare change proposals, issue change orders, and revise the master cost breakdown as directed by the Project Manager. Identify and document potential schedule delays and notify supervision to initiate time extension or cost adjustment requests in accordance with contract terms. Keep the Project Manager fully informed of any project issues, delays, or risks in a timely and proactive manner. Develop and assemble project closeout documentation, including shop drawings, warranties, and guarantees. Participate actively in project meetings and contribute to agenda items and documentation as needed. Ensure compliance with all company, client, and project policies, procedures, and standards. Maintain strict adherence to Wickersham Construction’s safety standards and policies. Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned by the supervising manager or Project Manager.
What You Will Bring:
High school diploma or equivalent required. 1+ years of construction project support or administrative experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with construction management software. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
