Patient Care Associate New Era Eye Care 1324 Memorial Hwy, Shavertown, PA 18708 Are you outgoing, friendly, and like to have fun while you work? Our growing eye health care practice has an immediate need for a well-organized and highly reliable assistant to the doctor and staff. We are looking for a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and who enjoys working directly with people. The candidate must be professional, courteous, and have excellent communication skills. Medical office experience a plus, but not necessary as we provide in-depth training. We use a computer-based medical records system and excel spreadsheets, so computer skills and the ability to type proficiently are required. Main responsibilities include:

Working in association with the doctor for patient care (i.e. taking histories, communication of treatment plans, update to electronic health records, etc.) Medical eye health testing (training provided) Assisting with appointments and other front office tasks as needed Expanded duties once established with training and experience As we work as a coordinated team, basic cross-training of other positions in the office will be provided as we always strive to provide seamless and expedient handling of patients at all times, even if another staff member is unavailable.
