Job Description
Services Coordinator Diakon Pottsville, PA 17901 • Hybrid work Diakon is one of the premier employers in Pennsylvania and Maryland. We are a non-profit organization which includes Diakon Child, Family, and Community Ministries and Diakon Affordable Housing.
General Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing a variety of duties which support Community Services primarily supporting Meals on Wheels and Senior Community Centers. Accounts for Meals on Wheels client “no answers” and responds to emergency situations as required. Journals and reports same to case managers. Works with center managers in assigning staff and volunteers for delivery of MOW routes; informs paid staff of route assignment. Coordinates with the Office Manager to schedule Meals on Wheels reassessment home visits, maintain logs for six-month reassessments, and monitor time frame extensions.
Education/Training:
An Associate’s degree normally required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in related positions normally required.
Compensation and Benefits:
