Principal Project Administrator
Aiken, SC
Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Principal Project Administrator opportunity to support the Savannah River Site.

Principal Project Administrator-
Duties:
Direct functional areas of project administration, i.e., records control, file administration, word processing, engineering support, or customer administrative support.
Duties include identification, assignment, and leadership of project support personnel training, planning, and distribution of workload.
Coordination of office services, housekeeping, property management, and special project assignments.
Reviews work of assigned staff to ensure that project procedures are followed and ensure projects are finished on time and within budget.
Lead development of, monitor, and provide cost effective Engineering Administrative Services for large projects, small projects, tasks, and/or department/division-level management services to support execution of the design products.
Communicate with internal and external departments and organizations to clarify and coordinate assigned tasks; and resolve complex administrative problems on the project.
Review workload, schedules, personnel assignments, status of ongoing work.
Approve leave requests, evaluate personnel performance, and initiate disciplinary actions.
Establish, interpret, revise, and/or review standards as necessary to ensure that work performed is within established records management guidelines.
Lead evaluation office production and administrative work processes; monitor the development of internal operating procedures/guidelines.
Ensure professional administrative staff is trained in changes.
Direct services such as equipment procurement, maintenance and repair, office supplies, and mail.
Ensure administrative office equipment, computing, and software needs are met.
Ensure housekeeping audits are scheduled and that corrective actions are completed.
Direct the development and maintenance of a variety of manual and automated filing systems, and/or protected property and equipment.
Monitor automated registers for tracking and retrieval of management commitments, correspondence, engineering documents, time collection, cost collection, and/or equipment.
May monitor data collection, preparation of operating reports, and error reconciliation.
Manage employee communications and recognition programs.
Interface with project administrators, engineering managers, and records management personnel and formulates procedures for systematic retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.
Coordinate security and access clearances.
Provide guidance to department personnel. Investigate personnel security incidents and recommend resolutions.
Compile and analyze department performance information.
Education & Years of Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related area and 8 years’ experience in project administration and supervision; associate degree in business or related area and 11 years’ experience as indicated; or 14 years’ experience as indicated.
Skills/Experience:
Comprehensive knowledge of Records Management policies, procedures, and practices.
Requires an in-depth knowledge of engineering/training document work systems, administrative processes, and relevant computer applications.
Applies advanced principles and practices in administration to resolve problems in a timely manner.
Knowledgeable of site accounting practices regarding non-labor and capital equipment budget.
Effective use of basic math and business concepts, theories and practices plus experience in budgeting processes.
Thorough understanding of policies, and administrative project procedures and practices.
Expertise in engineering/training document control. Requires computer literacy.
Previous experience with the use and implementation of DOE Order 413.3B.
Experience in
DOE CD-3X
Package Submittals
Knowledgeable about SRNS Project Management and EVMS policies, procedures, and manuals.
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Experience in industrial (or similar) training design, development, tracking, status reporting document approval and publication process.
Preferred Qualifications:
Possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years.
Qualified with the Learning Management System.
2 to 5 years or more of experience in training and development or a similar role.
Well-versed in the SRNS document creation and approval process.
Other Job Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.
