Job Responsibilities
With our Agency’s mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.
This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Berkeley Community Mental Health Center, 403 Stony Landing Rd., Moncks Corner, SC 29461
As the Administrative Assistant, working under direct supervision of the Program Manager, you will supervise and attend to the daily operations of Clinic Based Services. Duties will be primarily in the Emergency and Forensic Division. Responsibilities for the Administrative Assistant (ACT Team) include but are not limited to:
Function as the Division of Emergency and Forensic Services support staff, including Programmatic data entry and related necessary tasks with timeliness and efficiency. Support time keeping and organization crisis team after hours reimbursement. Provide patient engagement and perform functions necessary for engaging and scheduling MHP patient appointments to maximize schedule efficiency within Division, including, but not limited to, ACT, MDFT, FRST, embedded positions, intensive services, and mobile crisis. Support Division Director and Division Supervisors with quality improvement functions. Comply with training requirements set forth by
BCMHC/SCDMH.
These may include but are not limited to AAA Driver Improvement and MAPS trainings. Adhere to Center, DMH, and State corporate compliance policies, procedures, and regulations. Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
