The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing appointments and ensuring efficient operations within our dental office. This position requires strong administrative skills, excellent customer service abilities, and familiarity with dental office procedures. The Scheduling Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating schedules, managing patient interactions, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Responsibilities Coordinate and manage patient appointments, ensuring optimal scheduling for both patients and providers. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is compliant with HIPAA regulations. Provide administrative support by answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and assisting patients with their needs. Utilize computerized scheduling systems to track appointments and manage cancellations or rescheduling. Assist in dental collections by following up on outstanding payments and coordinating with billing departments as necessary. Support the dental office management team by performing various clerical tasks and reporting. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care and scheduling needs. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing concerns or questions in a professional manner. Requirements Previous experience in a dental administrative support role is preferred. Knowledge of dental collection processes and coding is a plus. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all patient interactions. Proficiency in computerized scheduling systems; experience as a dental receptionist is advantageous. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
