- This position is located with the Bureau of Operations Support.
Facilitates the direct functioning of other programs by providing the administrative/logistical support, accounting support, and other resources required for the operation of the Healthcare Quality Deputy area. Responsible for the processing of applications and licenses for the assigned caseload. Coordinates directly with HQ personnel, facilities and other agencies to acquire limited information. Processes invoices and late fees. Processes and mails invoices as needed. Ensures information entered or amended in the database is accurate and current. Manages documents created by the Bureau or received from other sources. Serves as a resource contact for the public, providers, and inspectors. Performs support services and provides technical assistance to providers, inspectors, and pending licensees as needed. Serves on committees as necessary to make recommendation to management related to licensure issues. Performs other duties as assigned such as but not limited to providing backup coverage for the HQ receptionist and the building receptionist. Serves as backup for mail distribution, as needed. Participates in disaster preparedness as outlined in the DPH plan during hazardous weather or declaration of emergency. During such times the incumbent is designated as an essential employee and subject to duty and/or call on a 24-hour basis. : : An associate’s degree and two (2) years of clerical/accounting experience.:

If this position requires the applicant to possess a valid driver’s license to operate a state vehicle or personal vehicle, any applicant being considered in the final stages of selection for the position will be required to provide a certified copy of a 10-year driving record.
