•Common res ponsibilities of some administrative tasks: Job duties vary within the department and by the position. Please indicate the area for which you are applying by completing the supplemental questions in the job posting. Greets and directs customers to appropriate areas in the office. Answers customer inquiries pertaining to driver vehicle, registration, titling and insurance requirements. Operates camera system to issue credentials, fax machine, SCDMV software and equipment necessary to assist customer. Minimum and Additional Requirements Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Agency Requirements Must complete a nationwide criminal background check to include finger printing. Must be at least 18 years of age on or before the date of application. Additional Requirements Ability to learn and explain policy and procedures to DMV customers. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Proficient in basic computer skills. Ability to exercise discretion in interpreting and applying office practices, policies and procedures. Works in a general office environment. May be required to work extended hours outside of the normal scheduled work week. Must be able to lift 10-15 lbs. The work requires sitting for prolonged periods of time and significant time spent at a computer terminal. Preferred Qualifications Agency Preferred Familiar with all standard office equipment (phones, fax, copier, scanners). Able to provide excellent customer service and demonstrate strong ethics. Ability to multitask with attention to details. Ability to work with documents/files and exercise confidentiality. Verbal and written communication skills. Professional workplace etiquette.
