Job Duties:

Under direct supervision, serve as program support staff to the Office of Economic Services, Division of Food and Nutrition Programs. This position will assist in the statewide effort to increase participation in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Education, Outreach and Healthy Bucks Incentives to help sustain the mission of those programs and reduce food insecurity in South Carolina. This position will support the Program Coordinators with organization and administrative duties as it relates to program delivery. Responsible for coordinating and maintaining the administrative and business management activities of the ES Food and Nutrition Unit; as well as perform or supervise the performance of activities related to fiscal management, personnel management, procurement, supply services, and auxiliary services. Assist with implementation, program delivery and administrative organization of SNAP education, outreach and SNAP incentive programs. Compiles budget excel sheets and data reports to reflect program delivery. Responsible for ordering and delivering supplies, handles request for copies and files as needed.
Creates, monitors and maintains monthly inventory log , monitor and maintain detailed invoice/ inventory expenditure sheet to substantiate USDA approved budget for specific program areas/agencies. Intercepts incoming calls and make outgoing calls for the SNAP-education, outreach and healthy incentive programs as required. Work extensively with client interaction via telephone (e. g., clients seeking information or making program request regarding SNAP-education, outreach and/or healthy bucks incentives services). Performs emergency disaster management services to include but not limited to Red Cross sheltering, Mass Care, Disaster SNAP, and ESF

  • 11 (Food Services) duties at the SC Emergency Management Division.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
A High School Diploma and five (5) years of experience in general administrative, management, health, social services, correctional, education, business administration or relevant program experience.
An Associate Degree and three (3) years of experience in general administrative, management, health, social services, correctional, education, business administration or relevant program experience.
A Bachelor’s Degree and one (1) year of experience in general administrative, management, health, social services, correctional, education, business administration or relevant program experience. Additional Comments
