As an Administrative Assistant for the Transition Assistance Program (TAP), you are the backbone of operations, ensuring seamless coordination, accurate documentation, and efficient support for Service Members (SMs) preparing for their future. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Support & Coordination:

Assist TAP staff and facilitators in scheduling workshops, briefings, and career counseling sessions. Schedule and manage logistics for meetings, travel, and events ensuring efficient operations.

Documentation & Compliance:

Maintain and update program records, reports, and databases in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Labor (DOL) regulations. Process government forms, benefit applications, and employment documents with precision.

Participant Assistance & Customer Service:

Provide front desk support, greet visitors, and guide SMs through registration and program inquiries. Prepare and distribute training materials, handouts, and official forms.

Office & Inventory Management:

Manage office supplies, inventory, and procurement requests. Manage correspondence, emails, and phone inquiries, ensuring timely communication and professional communication.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

High school diploma or equivalent: Associate’s degree in business administration, office management, or related field preferred. At least one (1) year in an administrative, clerical, or office support role. Experience working in military, government, or veteran support environments is a plus. Familiarity with Service Contract Act (SCA) contract positions and Wage Determination (WD) classifications preferred.

What You Will Bring :

Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask within a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management. Commitment to confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive information.
