Administrative Assistant/Point of Contact A Step Ahead Orthotics and Prosthetics, Inc 718 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN 37204 A Step Ahead Orthotics and Prosthetics, Inc has been around for over 20 years here in Central TN and AL. We specialize in prescriptive, splints and braces for orthopedic and injury needs and also upper and lower prosthesis.

  • Overview:
  • We are seeking a Point of Contact (POC) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and possess strong interpersonal skills to handle various communication channels.   • Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary contact for certain patient inquiries via phone and email.
  • Will be the primary point of contact for one of our Orthotist/Prosthetist here in office and assist them as needed.
  • Insurance verifications
  • Answer and direct phone calls promptly
  • Conduct outbound calling for follow up on information from physician offices
  • Submitting authorizations
  • Requesting prescriptions and documentation from Physicians and Therapists
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage calendars for practitioners
  • Provide exceptional patient support by promptly addressing questions, resolving any concerns.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless communication and service continuity.
  • Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a medical office setting
  • Proficiency in computerized systems and software applications
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
  • Insurance verification experience
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask
  • Familiarity with medical terminology a plus
  • Self-motivated
  • Positive attitude, friendly
