Administrative Assistants Job Description The University of Tennessee, Knoxville is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the Executive Director, Deputy Director, and Director of Parking Administration within the Parking and Transportation Services department. This role is integral to the efficient functioning of the leadership team, ensuring seamless operations through calendar management, internal and external communication, event coordination, and project assistance. Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative support, including managing schedules, organizing meetings, and handling correspondence.
  • Serve as a communication liaison with university departments, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized records and files; manage inventory and office supplies.
  • Assist with departmental initiatives, prepare reports, and contribute to special projects.
  • Coordinate logistics for events and meetings, including venue arrangements and travel planning.

Qualifications Required Qualifications
High School Diploma and at least two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling systems.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Familiarity withuniversity operations, including parking and transportation services.
