School Bilingual (Spanish-English) Secretary
Position Overview:
The School Bilingual (Spanish-English) Secretary is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the school’s office while facilitating clear communication with Spanish-speaking students, parents, and community members. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, bilingual proficiency, and a strong understanding of educational environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet visitors, answer phones, and provide assistance in both English and Spanish.
Manage student records, attendance, and enrollment documentation.
Translate documents and communications between English and Spanish as needed.
Support school staff with clerical tasks, including filing, data entry, and scheduling.
Maintain confidentiality of student information in accordance with school policies.
Assist with the coordination of school events and parent-teacher meetings.
Prepare correspondence, memos, and reports in both languages.
Handle inquiries from parents, students, and staff effectively and courteously.
Monitor office supplies and place orders as necessary.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred).
Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably in a school setting.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (speaking, reading, and writing).
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and office equipment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English.
High degree of professionalism and customer service orientation.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Adaptability to diverse populations and various age groups.

Pay Hourly rate: $18.50+
