PURPOSE AND SCOPE

: The General Office Secretary / Early Invention Services (EIS) Specialist provides administrative support and coordination within the office while playing a key role in managing documentation and processes related to Early Intervention Services (EIS). This position requires a high level of organization, communication skills, and sensitivity to the needs of children and families receiving early support services.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

:

General Office Duties:

Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and visitors in a professional manner Maintain office supplies and equipment; place orders as needed Manage and organize physical and digital filing systems Prepare reports, correspondence, memos, and other documents Schedule appointments and meetings, including room and resource coordination Support staff with clerical and logistical tasks as needed

EIS Specialist Duties:

Maintain accurate and confidential records for clients receiving Early Intervention Services Input and update client information in EIS databases and systems (e.g., Child Find, IDEA Part C platforms) Track timelines and documentation for evaluations, IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan) meetings, and service delivery Assist service coordinators and therapists with scheduling, communication, and documentation Prepare reports required for compliance and program monitoring Serve as a liaison between families, providers, and community partners Support outreach and intake processes for new referrals

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

: High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or higher preferred Previous experience in an office or school setting strongly preferred Knowledge of early intervention services and special education practices is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to

Work Environment:
