The operations assistant will receive a salary commensurate with education and experience. OSC performs educational, advisory, administrative, and clearinghouse functions to assist The Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity and other not-for-profit organizations and their members, officers, and alumni. General Responsibilities The operations assistant reports to the chief administrative officer. They are one of the primary contacts for headquarters visitors and vendors, and they provide support to all areas of administrative operations. Specific job responsibilities and tasks for the operations assistant are subject to change based on the needs of the organization and the direction of leadership. Areas of Concentration

  • Provide customer service as one of the primary contacts for headquarters visitors and vendors
  • Maintain confidentiality of all membership-related and personal data obtained by virtue of access to database and other documentation
  • Manage chapter-related reports and host institution contact information in database
  • Process data requests and updates from a variety of sources
  • Manage preparation and framing of chapter charters for presentation at annual summer event
  • Postage and shipping point of contact for staff
  • Office supply inventory management Knowledge
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree is not required, but preferred; Greek affiliation or experience desired

  • Administrative:

    Knowledge of procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology

  • English Language:

    Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar

  • Customer Service:

    Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes assessment of customer needs, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office productivity software including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Understanding of basic database operations including processing of information updates, queries, reports and data exports with the goal of attaining expert knowledge of the company database
