COMPASSIONATE, ORGANIZED + ATTENTIVE FAMILY ASSISTANT FOR A FAMILY OF FIVE

2 Doodle mixes, 2 cats, and a fish This on-the-go family of five is looking for a motivated Family Assistant to take on the day to day running of the home to give this family some of their time back on the weekends. With three kids, (6, 10 and 13) going in different directions after school, another driver is essential on certain days, so some afternoons will be spent helping with the children. Both parents work from home offices in their spacious home, which is set inside a community that provides pools, parks, and more. As a family, they value kindness, community, and their sacred waffle Saturdays! They support one another and love to spend time outside playing, biking, and playing four square, getting dirty and creating memories along the way.

SCHEDULE

Summertime:

M/T/TH/F 10 – 6, W 12

– 8, occasional Fridays shifted later to accommodate date night School year: Similar schedule with additional flexibility needed, all scheduling done a month out •General flexibility needed to shift hours later, or potentially earlier, with notice.

Guaranteed hours:

40/week Start date: ASAP/May 2025

Long term, 2+ years ideally

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Daily household reset: tidying kitchen and common areas, making kids’ beds, and organizing belongings Maintaining established household organization systems Weekly laundry for children and household Pet care for dogs (feeding, letting out, walking) Meal prepping and light gluten-free cooking Running errands including grocery shopping Scheduling household and vehicle maintenance appointments Supporting the family with daily, weekly, or as-needed tasks Assisting with after-school driving and childcare 3-4 afternoons per week Engaging the children with fun, intentional activities (e.g., crafts, board games, swimming) Helping with dinner and bedtime routines when working late Assisting with airport transportation, house sitting, and preparing the home for travel Providing occasional overnight care when both parents are away

TO NOTE:

During the summer the children are in camps, so there will be daytime hours to complete routine FA tasks. The ratio of household to childcare may shift slightly to a more 50/50 balance in the summer, verses more of a 60(household) to 40 (childcare) ratio during the school year.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

Experienced in a Family Assistant role and passionate about supporting the whole family Skilled with children ages 6-13 and able to connect with them meaningfully Independent, efficient, and confident once expectations are clear Warm, nurturing, and familiar with the Gentle Parenting philosophy Detail-oriented and tidy; doesn’t leave messes behind Loves organization and enjoys finding everything a “home” Emotionally intelligent, curious, and conscientious Seeking a long-term position Self-starter with a strong work ethic Flexible with schedule changes when given notice

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 3 years of professional FT Nanny and/or Family Assistant experience Ideal minimum1 year of Family Assistant experience (or similar) Longevity in former positions and a career outlook in the field Reasonable commute to College Grove, TN Safe driving record and valid driver’s license (family can provide a car) Nonsmoker/vaper Comfortable with pets (cats, dogs, fish)

COMPENSATION

Hourly:

$28 – $35/hour to align with experience and qualifications
