CoreCivic is currently seeking a Health Services Support Specialist located at our corporate office in Brentwood, TN. This position would require a hybrid work schedule of 3 days per week onsite and 2 days remote out of our Brentwood, TN office location.
SUMMARY:
The Health Services Support Specialist provides support to the Health Services management team. Develops, maintains and updates various documents related to health services operations, including patient care metrics, health facility grievances, capital expenditures, and JD Edwards requisitions. Reviews facility incident reports daily to ensure accuracy and policy adherence. Generates necessary reports of various operational data. Researches and collects other information as requested to support health services operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The incumbent should be able to perform all of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job performance requirements. Provides guidance and direction to management staff in the operation of facility health services, including administration, coordination and review of the medical, treatment and administrative programs of the facility. Formulates and supervises the execution of facility health policies and procedures for proper operation in accordance with broad corporate policies and objectives. Evaluates the results of overall operations regularly and systematically. Reports results as directed. Evaluates facility staffing needs according to growth. Prepares short term and long-range plans and budgets based on goals and growth objectives. Prepares correspondence, statistical reports, and other documents; independently edits documents making necessary corrections or revisions to include spelling, grammar, and sentence structure. Completes required forms, reports or records thoroughly, neatly and legibly and follows requirements for timely submission of documents. Domestic U. S. travel may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in a Health Science or other related field is required. Three years of professional correctional work experience is required. Additional qualifying full-time professional correctional experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of four years. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
