The Alliance’s strategic efforts include marketing, business recruitment, workforce development, state and local government affairs, data-driven research, existing industry support, and entrepreneurial assistance. Baldwin County is the 6th fastest growing area in the nation, with over 7,100 individuals moving to the community per year for our community’s quality of life, natural resources, and connected nature. Our organization has successfully leveraged the area’s attractiveness to recruit name-brand companies like ALDI and Novelis, which recently announced 1,000 jobs and $4.1 billion in capital investment in Baldwin County- the 2nd largest economic development project in the State of Alabama’s history. Position Summary The Office Manager at the Baldwin County Economic Development Alliance manages the essential day-to-day functions that allow the Baldwin County Economic Development Alliance to operate effectively and efficiently. This person is responsible for all receivables, payables, and financial coordination and reporting for the Alliance. This position is responsible for managing all HR compliance and interaction with third-party vendors to achieve HR coordination and compliance. Other various operational efforts of the organization to maintain effectiveness and efficiency which includes, but is not limited to, event planning, contract management, office-related management, liaison for the Baldwin Community and Economic Foundation, investor relations in conjunction with the President & CEO, and other administrative functions Responsibilities Human Resources Manages payroll and benefits for the organization Coordination with any third-party providers of assistance on HR-related functions Works in conjunction with CEO and EVP for staff support as it relates to HR Financials Manages all accounts payable and receivable Organizational liaison with all banking partners and 3rdparty financial providers Responsible for monthly reporting on financials for all accounts Organization point of contact for annual audit Supports and/or leads grant writing, compliance and other activities in this regard Manages contracts with county and municipal partners Coordinates sponsorships for various Alliance and Foundation events Events Assists, coordinates, and executes events for both Alliance and Foundation- particularly Investor-related events Supports special events with other Alliance staff as needed Support Ensures all policies, procedures, and systems operate efficiently Handles all compliance and essential business functions such as leases, insurance, and other operational functions of the Alliance and affiliated organizations/entities Manage physical office resources related to building, equipment, suppliers, etc. Provides support for all Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and affiliated committees for the Alliance and Foundation Other support-related functions for the operations of the Alliance and affiliated entities Requirements Bachelor’s degree- accounting, human resources, general business, communications, human-capital-related fields or related fields strongly preferred 5 year’s experience in related fields, coordinating financials, HR compliance and other essential functions of business Willingness to travel (limited travel required) Ability to work in a team environment Ability to meet and exceed deadlines- at times on short notice Ability to prioritize, multitask and manage deliverables effectively How to Apply To be considered, please submit your resume via e-mail to Lee Lawson at .
