Job Description
Skating School Office Manager Huntsville Ice Sports Center 3185 Leeman Ferry Road SW, Huntsville, AL 35801 The Huntsville Skating School and Training Academy Office Manager is responsible for the smooth daily operation of the HSSTA office including scheduling, communications and customer service related to the skating school’s programs and activities.
Responsibilities include:
Administrative Support:
Maintain accurate records of skater enrollment, progress, and financial transactions. Manage correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and mail.
Scheduling and Coordination:
Manage the scheduling of camps, classes, competitions, and other school activities while communicating effectively with coaches and participants.
Customer Service:
Provide friendly and efficient service to skaters, parents and other patrons including addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Communication:
Prepare and distribute emails, flyers, schedules, applications, and other communications and promotional material. Coordinate social media presence and online communication by directly working with the marketing team.
Financial Management:
Facilitate registration, provide account management within internal software and financial record-keeping.
Activity Coordination:
Support the execution of skating school events, such as classes, camps, competitions, shows, and other skating activities.
Public Relations:
Represent the skating school in a professional and positive manner, foster a positive rapport with patrons and interact as needed with the community.
Compliance:
Ensure adherence to safety regulations, insurance requirements, and other relevant policies
Staff Support:
Assist coaches and other staff members with administrative tasks and resources.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Experience in customer service and administrative roles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed, depending on the skating school’s schedule.
Additional Helpful Skills:
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial record-keeping.
- Experience with social media and online communication channels.
- Knowledge of figure skating programs and events (preferred, but not necessary)
