As a Business Office Manager (i.e., Medical Billing and Reimbursement Manager), you will be responsible for overseeing the accounts receivable function in a residential care nursing center that provides long-term care and short-term rehabilitation services. You will bill Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care, ensure billing, reimbursement and collections activities are processed in a timely manner, analyze collections, assess bad debt reserves, review and recommend write-offs, ensure a timely closure at month end and proper accounting per state and federal regulations. Qualifications :

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or above in Business, Accounting, or related field a plus. Three (3+) years’ experience in third party billing and/or collections in a decentralized billing environment required. One (1+) years long-term care business office required, or relatable accounts receivable, accounts payable, medical billing, medical reimbursement, and/or collections experience.

Medicaid / Managed

Care billing experience in the state of practice preferred. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows and office products

Requirements:
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in third party billing / collections in a decentralized billing environment. At least one (1) year experience in a supervisory capacity required.
  • Proficient in the use of a personal computer with various software packages
  • Solid customer service skills
SUPERVISORY

RESPONSIBILITIESSupervises the Business Office staff and others for whom they are administratively or professionally responsible.

ENVIRONMENTWorking in normal office environment, employee may be required to sit, bend, stoop, use keyboard, see, talk and hear. May occasionally lift objects of 10 to 25 lbs. OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Participates in (or conducts) company-sponsored training to safeguard against improper use and disclosure of resident’s protected health information. Monitors and ensures compliance with company policies, procedures and state and federal law. Agrees to adhere to and oversee communication of privacy guidelines relative to the confidentiality of residents’ protected health information.
