Full Job Description Position Overview:

The Church Office Administrator plays a vital role in the smooth and efficient operation of the church by providing administrative support to the pastoral team, ministry leaders, and congregation. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day office functions, maintaining records, coordinating communication, and supporting the mission and vision of the church.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for the church office via phone, email, and in-person inquiries. Maintain and update church records, including membership, baptisms, weddings, funerals, and donations. Prepare and distribute weekly bulletins, newsletters, and other communications. Manage the church calendar, schedule events, and coordinate the use of church facilities. Provide administrative support to the pastor(s) and ministry leaders, including meeting coordination and document preparation. Handle incoming and outgoing mail and maintain office supplies and equipment. Assist with financial record-keeping, including processing invoices, donations, and preparing reports in coordination with the church bookkeeper. Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions and documentation. Support the coordination of volunteers and church programs as needed.

Qualifications :

Proven experience in office administration, preferably in a church or nonprofit setting. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with church management software is a plus. Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and work independently. Understanding of and commitment to Christian values and the mission of the church.

Preferred Skills:

Graphic design or social media experience for creating church materials and online content. Experience coordinating events and managing volunteers. Familiarity with bookkeeping software or basic accounting principles.
