Job Summary:

Join our team as an Assistant Business Office Manager at our Vero Beach skilled nursing facility! In this essential support role, you’ll help manage financial operations such as billing, collections, Medicaid coordination, and resident trust accounts. Your skills and attention to detail will help ensure smooth day-to-day business functions and contribute to high-quality resident care.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with Medicaid Pending applications and financial eligibility processes Support billing for Medicare, Medicaid, private pay, and third-party insurance Assist with collections and maintain accurate aging reports Help manage daily and monthly census reconciliations Assist with resident trust fund management, including deposits, withdrawals, and reconciliations Communicate with home office billing team and outside payers Answer billing questions from residents and families Support the Business Office Manager with general administrative and clerical duties

Requirements:

Experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting required Knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare billing and collections preferred Strong computer and organizational skills Working knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles Familiarity with PointClickCare or similar EMR systems a plus Excellent communication and customer service skills

Schedule:

Monday to Friday Some flexibility may be required during month-end or special projects
