Miami, FL Job Summary:
St. George Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Church Office Administrator to help manage the daily operations of our church office. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Publisher), and a respectful understanding of a faith-based work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct administrative support to the Cathedral Dean, including scheduling, correspondence, and daily task management. Manage the Dean’s calendar and prioritize urgent communications with professionalism and discretion. Prepare weekly bulletins, newsletters, and other church materials using Microsoft Publisher.
Oversee general office operations:
answer phone calls and emails, greet visitors, and manage office supplies. Maintain accurate church records, calendars, and administrative documentation. Support clergy and ministry leaders with scheduling, communication, and event coordination. Handle confidential documents and sensitive information with the utmost care. Assist with maintaining financial and membership records, as needed.
Qualifications:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite — especially Publisher, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Prior experience in church administration, office management, or a similar role is preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks efficiently. High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
