The Front Office Manager is a central administrative figure at Area Stage, responsible for ensuring efficient daily operations, maintaining professional communication with clients and staff, and managing logistical coordination across programs. This role is not just receptionist-based—it requires leadership, proactive problem-solving, and administrative rigor. The Front Office Manager represents the organization’s culture of excellence and serves as a vital link between our artistic and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the first point of contact at the front desk, creating a professional and welcoming atmosphere Oversee email and phone communications with a commitment to clear, timely, and courteous correspondence Manage calendars, private lesson scheduling, and studio bookings via Sawyer and Google Calendar Ensure smooth check-in and attendance systems for private lessons and group classes Monitor and communicate with instructors regarding absences, tardiness, and payments Maintain updated records on scholarship tracking, community service, and instructor compensation Support enrollment procedures, trial class coordination, and parent communications Ensure office supplies and front desk inventory are maintained and organized Coordinate ticketing logistics, volunteer outreach, and concessions support during productions Document communications, confirm logistics in writing, and proactively identify areas for operational improvement

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly organized and detail-oriented Professional demeanor, with experience in customer service or hospitality preferred Strong computer skills: Gmail, Google Workspace, Sawyer platform, Square Experience in scheduling, administrative coordination, and database management Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Prior experience in office settings is a plus
