Job Description

Business Office Manager The Orthopedic Surgery Center of Loxahatchee Groves 15440 Tangerine Dr, Loxahatchee, FL 33470 A brand-new and growing Ambulatory Surgery Center in Palm Beach County seeks an experienced and dynamic professional as an ASC Business Office Manager. The Business Office Manager is responsible for overseeing daily business office operations, following regulatory requirements, and facility policies. The successful candidate will possess outstanding multi-tasking abilities, communication, teamwork, and the ability to keep up in a fast-paced working environment.

Must possess:

extensive knowledge of ASC operations 5+ years of management insurance contracts medical billing and collections third-party insurance benefits and claims Strong medical terminology, ICD10, CPT code knowledge Strong accounting background in a medically related environment Basic knowledge of accounting procedures Experience with accounts payable – QuickBooks Strong knowledge of computers Experience with SIS software is a plus. Most of all, must genuinely desire to work in the ASC setting with a team player mentality. The successful candidate will oversee business office personnel in scheduling, registration, insurance verification, revenue cycle (billing, coding, accounts receivable), accounts payable, and medical records. Responsible for payroll monitoring and reporting, month-end processing, and serves as the privacy and security office. Coordinates activities with other departments and participates in obtaining and maintaining qualified personnel for the business office. Must promote a favorable image of the facility to physicians, patients, insurance companies, and the public. Primary Duties Directs supervision of business office personnel, including orientation, performance appraisal, and maintenance of business office personnel records Organizes and maintains payroll and employee benefit records to maintain compliance with federal and state rules and regulations. Reviews timecards and payroll verification forms for accuracy and compliance with facility policies Maintains records regarding vacation, sick leave, etc. Ensures the business office duties are carried out according to facility policies and procedures. Ensures that business office duties are carried out efficiently and accurately. Works closely with Nurse Administrator/clinical director/management company to ensure efficient, timely flow of overall operation. Works closely with the nurse administrator/management company to promote the facility. Ensure timely coding, billing, and collections of accounts. Recommends revisions in business office policies and procedures to maintain compliance with federal and state rules and regulations. Provide routine training to staff when necessary. Reconcile and balance before the month-end close. Process the month-end close timely and accurately. Contributes to the progress and development of the organization’s compliance program. Remains current on all federal and state guidelines regarding business office practices
