Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Office Manager to oversee administrative and human resource functions for a museum located in Macon, Georgia. This Contract-to-Permanent position requires a proactive individual who is adept at managing day-to-day operations, implementing efficient workflows, and fostering a productive work environment. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations and supporting staff engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise administrative operations, including managing office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships to ensure seamless functionality.
- Develop and maintain organizational workflows, procedures, and record-keeping systems to enhance efficiency.
- Coordinate internal communications to keep staff informed about schedules, updates, and museum initiatives.
- Administer HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and organizational standards.
- Manage recruitment activities, such as posting job openings, facilitating interviews, and onboarding new employees.
- Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records in adherence to employment regulations.
- Oversee payroll processes, track time and attendance, and address related queries.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, benefits administration, and conflict resolution efforts.
- Plan and organize staff training, skill development opportunities, and team-building activities. Requirements
- Proficiency in accounting software systems such as ADP and Concur.
- Experience with CRM tools and familiarity with Dentrix Dental Software.
- Strong knowledge of accounting functions, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
- Ability to answer inbound calls and handle inquiries professionally.
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail in managing administrative tasks.
- Prior experience with payroll coordination and human resource functions.
- Understanding of labor laws and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills for internal and external coordination.
