Good clerical and typing skills Must be comfortable with computers and have some knowledge of/experience with word processing programs, computer scheduling programs, e-mail, and working with data entry and spreadsheets. Must be proficient in the handling of medical records, including copying medical records and assuring the security of the medical records files. Good communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form Public relations/customer service skills are a must; must be able to present in a manner that is both professional and friendly with patients, peers, and supervisors. Must be able to assume independent responsibilities to insure that reports and documents are completed in a timely manner The ability to supervise others is important. Must be able to delegate responsibilities to those supervised and monitor their efforts to complete assignments. Posses visual acuity, with correction, in order to read written material and proof read own work. Posses auditory acuity, with correction, to hear instructions, relay information, and operate phone equipment. Light physical exertion, considerable sitting, transport materials, and the ability to file documents. Good physical and mental health. Able to work under supervision or independently as directed by the situation, Must be able to work under stressful conditions. Financial Interactions Maintains Operational Schedules Any other duties as assigned Implement and maintain a system for financial filing, scheduling and clinical charts assuring that documentation meets JCAHO, Medicare, Medicaid, and other applicable standards.
Experience/Education:
High School Diploma or GED Two years experience displaying the ability to perform duties at a high level preferred in an office setting with a good working knowledge of computers, good working knowledge of MS Office software Demonstrate secretarial experience Displaying the ability to perform duties at a high level
