This role includes training and managing staff, supervising administrative tasks, and effectively addressing customer complaints and inquiries. To be a successful Front Office Supervisor, you must have strong time supervision and organizational skills, along with a keen business mindset. Additionally, providing exceptional customer service and demonstrating strong leadership abilities are essential for excelling in this role. These skills ensure efficient operations and foster positive experiences for both guests and staff. Position Responsibilities
- Defining and implementing front desk objectives and procedures.
- Hiring and training staff and managing the shift schedules.
- Tending to guests’ complaints and questions and providing exceptional customer service.
- Ensuring that the front desk and reception area are kept clean and organized.
- Oversee front office inventory, placing supply orders and maintaining appropriate stock levels to support daily operations.
- Supervising staff and all front desk activities including bookings, appointments, phone calls, and emails.
- Conducting performance reviews with the front desk staff.
- Generating reports and feedback for presentation to the general manager.
- Managing all commercial aspects of the hotel business
- Coordinates with external vendors for supply deliveries, service requests, and front office support needs to maintain seamless daily operations.
- Prepares a work schedule for staff and authorizes payroll for the department based on approved labor standards.
- Collaborating with other departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to address guest needs and concerns
- Maintain the Front Office department within set budget and payroll guidelines.
- Ensure staff are prepared to be courteous, efficient, and available to always provide excellence to our guests and visitors.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
