The Opportunity First Parish of Westwood seeks a part-time Office Manager to manage the church office operations. The Office Manager should be great with people; can juggle varying responsibilities and multiple deadlines; maintains confidentiality; works closely with the Pastor; and interfaces effectively in person, by email, and phone. An ideal candidate is both a self-starter and good at taking directions; comfortable with computer software and office equipment; has an eye and ear for editing; and is relatively unflappable. Understanding of, and ease with, social media and graphics is essential. The Office Manager is responsible for operations of the church office, communications including social media, coordination and support of ministries and volunteers, and coordination of the use and organization of church facilities. This person is the day-to-day face of the church office for members and the primary point of contact for inquiries from the wider community. Hours
- This is a part-time, non-exempt position working 15 hours per week during the program year. There is some flexibility with weekly office hours. Hours from late June to the middle of August are limited. Compensation
- $22-25 per hour depending on experience; no benefits Supervisor
- The Office Manager is accountable to the Church Council and under the general, day to day, supervision of the Pastor. Essential Functions
- Manage the church office to ensure effective telephone, mail, email, and personal communications both internally and externally.
- Prepare worship bulletins for Sundays and all special services; aggregate all materials to be included in bulletin including music, volunteers, attributions for content and images.
- Create weekly messaging through use of social media to congregation including announcements, joys and concerns, important events, and calendar.
- Provide general support to weekday visitors during normal office hours.
- Organize office operations and procedures including maintaining records, office supplies, files, CORI records.
- Administer and coordinate the publishing of the annual reports of the church by working with various committees, ministries, and leaders to obtain and organize reports. Minimum Qualifications

- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Ability to organize record keeping via computer software

- Appreciation for religious setting and responsibilities of office manager
