Bookkeeper / Office Manager (Part-Time)
Urban Stages is a nonprofit Off-Broadway theaterpany dedicated to producing new works and supporting diverse voices in the arts.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Office Manager to join our team. The Bookkeeper/Office Manager will manage day-to-day financial and administrative functions, including bookkeeping, budgeting, payroll, bill payments, financial reporting, and insurance, among other responsibilities.
This position is currently part-time with the potential to go full-time.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks.
Manage budgeting and financial reporting for theanization.
Assist with city, state, and private grants by providing financial reporting.
Oversee salary and bill payments.
Assist with contracts for talent.
Handle insurance policies and renewals (health and general liability insurance).
Support ticketing operations for productions.
Coordinate and oversee annual financial audits in collaboration with external auditors.
Send out tax-acknowledgement letters to donors.
Perform general office management tasks, such as supply management.

Qualifications:

Must be proficient in QuickBooks
Working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office programs.
Strong understanding of budgeting, grant reporting, and payroll processing.
Excellentanizational andmunication skills
Ability to work independently and also collaboratively in a small team
Experience in a theater or arts-related setting and knowledge of city and state grant financial guidelines are pluses, but not required

Schedule & Compensation:

Part-time position: 25 hours/week, on-site
Potential to transition into a full-time role
