Job Description

Description Our client is looking for an experienced Office Manager to join their team in Lexington, South Carolina. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the day-to-day accounting and management of the office. The position will report directly to the owners of the business and will work with the outside CPA on annual tax filings. The Office Manager will oversee a team of six, so strong supervisory skills are essential.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Record and process financial transactions, maintaining detailed and organized records.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial reports regularly.
  • Prepare month-end and year-end financial statements and close procedures.
  • Manage payroll processing, ensuring accurate calculations and timely tax filings.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee 401(k) reporting and compliance testing.
  • Handle onboarding of new employees and manage health insurance and workers’ compensation processes.
  • Provide administrative support and assist with other financial tasks as needed. Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with payroll processing and quarterly tax filings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.
