Child Care Assistant Director Qualifications:

Two or more years of leadership/management experience Excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills Understanding of child development in children ages infant to school age CPR/First Aid certification preferred Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred Strong proactive and positive can do attitude Detail oriented with organizing tasks by importance and completing in such order Proficient and familiar with working with multiple applications within computer system (Google Drive + extensions , Asana, Brightwheel) Must complete health screening with TB testing Must clear a background check

Responsibilities:

Knowledge of state and education licensing standards and maintains validation of credentials for the position Maintain daily operations of child care center such as staffing, schedules, safety, and compliance of center Collaborate with office administrators to complete system operations within multiple applications Collaborate with staff to ensure center is compliance within SC State Child Care Licensing and ABC Quality Standards Maintains consistent and effective communication with families and staff to ensure all are timely informed of any pertinent information Maintain strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations as changes or modifications occur Identifies, schedules, and interviews potential candidates for center positions and onboards new employees Revise weekly time cards and process weekly payroll deposits Maintain partnerships with community organizations ensuring streamline communication and processing Collaborate with staff to enhance education of childcare through coordinated staff meetings and mandated trainings Maintain center morale with staff and families embracing relationships within community managing yearly events (i.e. center events, training conferences, staff appreciation events) Lead tours with prospective families highlighting, Emilia-Reggio curriculum, arts and nature interactive learning (i.e. spanish, yoga, garden with art/music) , cooperative credits, non-profit community, and accreditations for quality care We are seeking a dedicated Child Care Assistant Director who has experience working with students in an educational setting. As the Child Care Assistant Director, you will be responsible assisting the Director for overseeing the daily operations of our child care center. You will enrich and implement age-appropriate curriculum, hire and train staff, ensure compliance with licensing regulations, and maintain open communication with parents. To excel in this role, you should have a passion for working with children, strong leadership skills, and the ability to create a nurturing environment that promotes learning. You should also have excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents.
