This is a full-time position located in the Operations Department at The Guest House at Graceland with variable/flexible working hours to include weekends, holidays and overtime as required. RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports to the
Hotel Manager:
Oversee and manage PBX, Front Desk, Information Desk, Shuttle service, Bell Person, and Valet staff. Create a memorable experience by engaging with guests, providing friendly courteous service, anticipating guest needs, increasing guest loyalty, and maintaining relationships. Ensure that associates are meeting guest needs and appropriately responding to any guest concerns and escalating as appropriate. Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures pertinent to the Front Office are being followed. Manage direct reports by ensuring associates understand employee practices, recommending employment decisions and corrective action, supporting performance management, and implementing discipline. Assign tasks and ensure all staff positions across the front office are covered for the duration of shift. Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and timely manner. Ensure the financial goals of the department and the hotel are being met by managing labor costs, controlling expenses for supplies and equipment, and determining revenue-driving initiatives. Evaluate and recommend revenue driving initiatives and monitor revenue performance. Recommend and implement approved changes that could improve service and increase operational efficiency. Perform or assist with cleaning duties as necessary ensuring the hotel is succeeding for defined guest experience standards. Recruit and train new employees to established standards. Monitor front desk and ensure all employees comply with all security procedures for guests and visitors. Create, organize, and maintain schedules for all employees in the department. Assist in planning meetings, luncheons, and employee team building activities or special projects as needed. Ability to serve as Manager on Duty. Any and all work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position. Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to speak clearly and distinctly both in person and on the telephone, ability to stoop, reach, walk, and stand for extended periods of time; ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
SPECIAL REQUIRMENTS
A valid driver’s license is required; must have hotel operation experience and/or equivalent education in hotel management/business administration; hospitality field or equivalent work-related experience is required; supervisory experience required.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Ability to work weekends and occasional overtime and holidays as needed; ability to maintain confidentiality and objectivity; no smoking in the work area.
