Description Unlock exciting opportunities at the Chatham County Detention Center as a skilled Law Enforcement Records Specialist II. If you have a minimum of three (3) years of clerical or office experience, join our dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, where your expertise will play a crucial role in maintaining law enforcement records with precision and efficiency. Examples of Duties In this role, you will Perform various advanced clerical and administrative tasks under general supervision. Provide records information to law enforcement personnel, the public, and professionals by phone and in person. Operate office-related equipment in this role, including computer software and systems. Perform your work utilizing confidentiality, effective communication skills, and independent judgment. Perform your work near inmates. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED, and Three (3) years of clerical or office experience; or Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must be able to work any shift. Must be able to type at least 25 words per minute. Keyboarding and clerical testing will be required during the interview process for selected candidates. Must possess a Georgia Crime Information Center (GCIC) certification or be able to obtain it within 30 days of employment. During emergencies and disasters affecting Chatham County, you may be required to report to work as part of a disaster operations team. In accordance with the Department of Transportation, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) holders and those employed in safety-sensitive positions are subject to random drug testing. Candidates with direct and relevant experience may receive an offer of up to 10% above the minimum salary that is posted, reflecting their exceptional qualifications.
