SUMMARY The Central Station Technician will assist and orchestrate the delivery of a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and patients by running the
GRADY HEALTH SYSTEM
Public Safety – Central Station. The job duties require the monitoring of closed circuit television systems with 325 plus cameras, 400 plus alarm circuits used as panic or duress buttons by Grady staff, digital video (newer technology), the HUGS infant and children protection systems, burglar alarms for clinic and pharmacy areas, and 68 elevator talk boxes or emergency phones. The Technicians dispatch calls to over 35 security officers, as well as, security management staff while monitoring and controlling radio traffic, answering the phone, noting and responding to alarms, and keeps Central Station functioning at a professional level. Central Station is the nerve center for the Public Safety Department of the

High School diploma or G.E.D. required
