Job Overview Employees in this position are responsible for the high-quality and timely inserting and mailing processes of customers’ bills, notices, and other documents to support the rate paying customers and the company’s corporate financial goals. This position is responsible for the quality in mail tray handling by ensuring adherence to the USPS guidelines to maintain and ensure our postage discounts. Individuals work requires basic process and technical knowledge in the operation of high-speed, high-volume inserting machines to support operational requirements and goals.

Job Duties & Responsibilities Under direct supervision:

  • Follows prescribed processes, runs high-speed equipment, and uses basic technical knowledge and decision making in the end-to-end process to ensure timely completion and delivery to United States Postal Service (USPS)
  • Ensures proper mail tray labeling, accurate documentation and proper paperwork with each day’s batch, accurate zip code processing, abiding to specified tray capacity, and loading of mail trays into GPS carts and transporting to docking stage
  • Performs basic troubleshooting of equipment as needed in order to ensure uninterrupted operations
  • Ensures the appropriate and prescribed supply volumes are kept on the working floor at all times
  • Assists in inspecting supply quality by identifying damaged supplies and reporting to management
  • Assists in the begin-of-day and end-of-day equipment and floor preparation by: receiving supplies at loading dock and ensuring it meets specifications, performing required house-keeping, transporting bills to loading dock for delivery, and ensuring appropriate supplies required for the next business day are in order
  • Operates heavy machinery and electric forklift to transport supplies and materials
  • Processes returned mail through scanning equipment and exception handling
  • Ability to meet attendance and storm duty requirements
