COPY CENTER
Organize and carry out all daily activities of copy center.
Help direct daily activities of 7-8 work study students, plan and assign daily work, monitor work and check completed work, assist with unusual of difficult task. Help train work study students on equipment.
Prioritize and perform the duplication of materials from hard copy, disks and email in a timely fashion.
Maintain departmental filing, recordkeeping and reporting systems of copy machines.
Collect cash from students, faculty, and staff for copies.
Assure that copyright infringement does not occur.
Provide input in writing and amending Copy Center policies and procedures.
Handle confidential material such as exams.
Perform regular clerical support duties including answering phones.
Perform other specialized/technical tasks are related assigned functions.
MAILROOM
Receive presorted US Mail and intercampus mail for staff, faculty and students and sort into appropriate boxes .
Sort and expedite outgoing US Mail by department by utilizing electronic scale, postage meter and electronic accounting system.
Provide mail service to campus community during window hours. Maintain a cash box.
Log all transactions for certified mail, checks forwarded, special mail, postage due and business reply. Forward or return unclaimed mail. Maintain a UPS log.
Receive all deliveries and sort by department/student.
Deliver and pick up mail from Biddeford Campus/Portland Campus daily.
Deliver and pick up mail from campus departments.
Assign mailboxes and keys to incoming students. Maintain mail key system
Maintain a computerized mail roster for all faculty, staff and students.
Assist in the Copy Center as assigned by Auxiliary Services Manager. Qualifications High school diploma and 1-2 years relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
Strong customer services skills.
Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work load and responsibilities.
Valid driver’s license.
Basic machine operating and computer skills desirable.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to deal effectively with a wide range of University faculty, staff and students.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
