RCA Rural Carrier Associate 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars 497 Retail Way, Louisburg, NC 27549 Job Summary The Rural Carrier Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of mail and packages to rural areas. This position requires a dedicated individual who is comfortable working independently and possesses strong customer service skills. The Rural Carrier Associate will operate various vehicles, including box trucks, and may be required to handle heavy lifting and loading/unloading tasks. Responsibilities Deliver mail and packages to designated rural routes in a timely manner. Operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. Load and unload mail and packages from vehicles using pallet jacks and manual handling techniques. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues as they arise during deliveries. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking any discrepancies or issues encountered. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation. Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including organizing and moving inventory. Qualifications Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting and move items safely within the warehouse environment. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is advantageous. Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to work independently while managing time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
